Welcome

The perfect New Forest country pub

Named after the Earl of Emsworth’s prize winning Berkshire pig, the Empress of Blandings, with over 350 pictures and paintings of pigs adorning its walls, sits on the edge of the New Forest, close to the M27.

The pub is the only building that is a member of the PG Wodehouse society and the Inn-sign is the only Hall & Woodhouse pub sign where the company name is spelt ‘Wodehouse’.

With plenty of outside seating for the summer, as well as a roaring fire for the winter months, our dog friendly bar features a menu full of all the pub classics, as well as a regularly changing specials board and of course our perfect Sunday Roasts.

Opening Times

Monday - Saturday: 11am - 11pm
Sunday: 12pm - 10:30pm

“A cat will look down at a man. A dog will look up to a man. But a pig will look you straight in the eye and see his equal.”
Winston Churchill

We love Dogs and Walking

We love dogs as every pub should, so bring your pooch along with you, they’re part of the family too after all.

Sunday Roasts

We think ours are the best (apart from Mum’s!) and we spend all week looking forward to them. Freshly roasted every Sunday morning and served with seasonal veg, Yorkshires, roasties and gravy homemade in our kitchen.

Our delicious ‘Rocket Espresso’ has come from our friends at Extract Coffee Roasters. It’s a combination of fantastic coffee and good ethics. This particular blend comprises 100% Arabica coffee beans from one farm in Colombia and a co-operative project in Peru, who work to directly benefit the families and communities involved.
